Mr. Brigden is Vice President of Clarion Associates, and specializes in tax counseling related to the charitable donation of preservation and conservation easements and historic tax credits, expert witness litigation support involving real estate matters and including environmentally contaminated properties, and the valuation of complex and special purpose properties.

Mr. Brigden joined Clarion’s Chicago office in 2002 as Senior Real Estate Analyst to provide consulting and valuation of non-traditional real estate. Mr. Brigden’s experience includes major real estate appraisal and consulting assignments in over 20 states with a specialization in the valuation of preservation and conservation easements and special purpose properties.

Mr. Brigden has broad management experience in real estate finance and development including leasing, project oversight and financial management. Throughout his career he has acquired practical experience in all aspects of real estate development and property management disciplines including design and construction, leasing, financing, legal and financial accounting.

Mr. Brigden’s recent assignments include the Hurricane Katrina master consolidated class action and the TOUSA, Inc. bankruptcy litigation where he was responsible for the management and analysis of vast amounts of real estate valuation data within the litigation context.

Mr. Brigden holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture (cum Laude) and a Masters of Science degree in Real Estate (Summa cum Laude), both from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Brigden is an active alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, a member of ULI and ICSC, and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute.
