Mr. Papke, Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of Clarion Associates, has expertise in real estate consulting, appraisal, market analysis, feasibility analysis, environmental impact analysis, and highest and best use studies for larger office, retail, industrial, residential, hotel, theater, and special purpose properties. His work includes community development and redevelopment planning, fiscal impact analysis, environmental impact analysis, and zoning and planning studies for public sector and private clients. He has a great deal of experience providing litigation support and expert testimony regarding valuation issues.

Mr. Papke holds the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate, the AICP designation from the American Planning Association, and the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Papke more than 20 years of experience as a real estate and planning consultant, following a ten year career as a public sector planner. He has published articles in The Appraisal Journal and Planning magazine, and has been an adjunct lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago and at DePaul University.

Mr. Papke’s previous work has involved properties of all types all across the country, and has even included appraisal of real estate (including historic resources) within National Parks, including all of the real property at the south rim of the Grand Canyon and other properties in Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park, among others.

In recent years, Mr. Papke has focused much of his work on analysis of the impact of environmental contamination on real estate, including an analysis of the impact of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on the market in southcentral Alaska. He is the co-developer of the Appraisal Institute's Seminar on "Environmental Risk and the Real Estate Appraisal Process," and has published articles in The Appraisal Journal and Planning magazine, and been an adjunct lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago as well as in the Real Estate Department at DePaul University in Chicago. Mr. Papke holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Gustavus Adolphus University and a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Illinois.
